Do NOT use the steam version of MW2. It leaves your PC vulnerable to remote code execution from people within the lobby. This basically means anyone you encounter in a lobby can take control of your PC. IW4x is a free version of MW2 that fixes most of the issues, adds new maps, weapons, modding tools, the works.
