Thank you very much to Routemaster and Skorpion for your support. Citroen want £1300 to replace the injectors, but on a car that is still performing well and covering 500 miles per week, I suspect another cause, possibly sensors/diagnostics etc.
Citroen C5, Dispatch, or C4 Picasso / Grand Picasso won’t start frequently due to a faulty Delphi DCM3.5 engine ECU. The Delphi DCM3.5 ECU is a commonly failing part due to internal component malfunction, which causes intermittent and even permanent symptoms such as rough running, the engine management light illuminating, cutting out, and ultimately complete non-start of the vehicle. Today, after turning the key, a Christmas tree appeared with errors in the handbrake, ABS ESP, gearbox and Engine system management. Powering the seat ECU does nothing none of the seat controls operate. All I know at the moment is that the seats were from a 2015 C4 grand Picasso. I know what all the internal wires do and can (as you say) utilise these wires with new relays to get the 'works' operational. Though NOT the lumbar massage feature.Mine was actually caused by damp permeating the fuse box under the bonnet (at bottom of windscreen, left side) and causing poor current flow. The fuse box (controller) is well enough sealed with some sort of silicone, but the fuse holders themselves are more or less open to the elements.
